When someone completes this form, they are automatically registered in WordPress as a **Subscriber**. Please note that this is only an example form—the actual registration form can be as simple or as detailed as you need, with additional fields and questions if required.
A Subscriber has very limited permissions and cannot access or modify any content on the website. Their account simply allows them to log in and be identified as a registered user.
From this point, you can choose one of two workflows:
Option 1A – Automatic registration
Users are automatically registered as a Subscriber after submitting the form. If, at a later stage, you would like them to gain access to additional functionality—such as completing a follow-up form with file upload capabilities—you simply change their WordPress user role. Once their role has been updated, the additional features will automatically become available.

Option 1B – Manual approval
Submitting the form does **not** automatically create a WordPress account. Instead, you will receive the completed form by email. When you decide that someone should have access to the follow-up form, simply click the **Approve** link in the email. This will automatically create the WordPress user account with the correct role, so no additional role changes are required afterwards.
